When we designed and built Panorama Trails, our goals were simple: We wanted to offer a unique course that would attract anyone who owned a mountain bike and who dreamed of riding it off road. We wanted a course that was fun and safe where all could perfect their mountain biking skills. We take care of everything else. No demands are made for your time, and there are no user conflicts. Panorama Trails is simply a place for mountain bikers to ride and enjoy their sport, no more, no less.

It doesn’t take long for a newcomer to Panorama Trails to see why this place offers a special experience in mountain biking. With more than 25 miles of sweet single-track trails that traverse 850 acres, Panorama Trails is fast becoming the hottest destination for mountain biking in The Old Dominion. You will find the scenery extraordinary as you blast your way across the rolling terrain of this magnificent farm. The Blue Ridge Mountains serve as a phenomenal backdrop as you cruise the open pasture meadows, hay fields, mature hardwood forests, bold streams and tricky log crossings. While the beginner and intermediate peddlers can find a whole host of trails to conquer, our well-designed trail system will also challenge the most adventuresome riders with just enough hills, rocks, roots, off-camber sections, and of course the best of all, lots of long uninterrupted loops.

The abundant wildlife and native flora in this idyllic setting are just the beginning of many attractions to enjoy at this mountain biking heaven. Stop and watch from the many elevated overlooks while the University of Virginia Crew and local scullers train on the placid waters of the Rivanna River Reservoir that borders the trails. Check out the local high school harriers as they compete and train on the many miles of separate cross-country running trails. There are hot air balloon liveries that, during the summer months, routinely fly over or land on the farm that the trails traverse.
